How Implementing BookingKoala Changed King of Maids
Lets get one thing out the way.
Before BookingKoala became BookingKoala it was first designed for King of Maids in order to help scale the service. Later it was re-designed in order to let other services use its amazing features and strategies.
Launch Date: King of Maids launches with a simple book online form in May 2013.
“We saw a trend in services using technology to help secure bookings so we decided to start with that when we started King of Maids. The problem was that we didn’t know that little things matter. Just because we created a booking form, didn’t mean that we would be selling. It took a certain set up, ease of use and the right traffic to make the system work.” – Filip Owner of King of Maids
6 Months Later: Booking form re-designed.
“Taking what we learned in the first few months we decided to go back to the drawing board and we re-designed the form and included a customer login so that customers can track and edit their appointments. The sign ups started to soar and we ended the first full year with around $1,000,0000 in revenue. During that year we decided to start opening up new locations and to invest thousands into upgrading our software. At first we spent weeks looking and testing every software out there. Everything out there was just basic. Nothing even remotely appropriate for a growing company so we decided to make our own the way we knew it should be based on years of feedback. Looking at it today, it was a great decision because those softwares we looked at 3 years ago didn’t improve much.” – Filip Owner of King of Maids
End of Year 2: Sales double.
“After introducing new locations, the company ended the year with well over $2,000,000 in revenue. The customers loved us and the referrals started to kick in. We figured out how to grow at an amazing speed but now we were stuck waiting for our new software to be released. I remember we were going to use Launch27 while waiting on our software because it was the best thing out there at the time but it couldn’t support our growth. Many missing features like managing all locations under one spot, having multiple time zones and much more. We needed something to manage everything in one software and we had to settle paying $1,000 a month to a very old school software as a temporary solution. End of Year 3: King of Maids saves first $100,000 thanks to new software.
First week of year 3 we finally had all of our clients switched over to the new software. That year we were able to save over a $100,000 by reducing our office salaries and costs. Since everything was so automated, we were able to have less people at the office. Not only that but it reduced so much of my time that I was able to get into other ventures including starting BookingKoala.“ – Filip Owner of King of Maids
