Cleaning On A Budget
There was a time when hiring a maid service was something that not everyone could afford. If you are still under the impression that hiring someone to do your dirty work is something that is out of your budget, you may be mistaken. There are some things we are good at, and some things we aren’t. Not everyone was meant to clean a home and if it is something that not only you hate, but you just don’t do a good job at, you may be better served finding room in the budget to get it done right. If you are better at other things, save yourself the hassle and make money in other ways to pay for the things you dislike.
If you absolutely hate cleaning, don’t put up with the punishment. Hiring someone to clean your home is about paying someone to do what they do best. They are paid hourly just like you could be. If you don’t like the time spent cleaning, hire a house cleaning maid. There are many things that you can do out of your home to make money so you don’t have to clean. If you are alright breaking even, why not do what you do best and let the cleaners do what they do best. Here are some things that you can do in your spare time to pay the expense of hiring a cleaning maid:
Fill out surveys online
You would be amazed at how many companies there are that will pay you money to fill out surveys. Sure you aren’t going to set the world on fire, but if all you need to do is make a little extra, wouldn’t you rather put in the time filling out a survey then cleaning your home. Check out all the consumer agencies who will pay you per survey to give them honest reviews about things you probably use everyday.
Sell your stuff on Ebay
Okay, so you don’t like “cleaning”, that is okay you can do your part by cleaning out those old junk drawers and closets. There are many things that you have held onto for years thinking that one day you would need. You are right, you need it right now to sell on Ebay to pay for a cleaning service. Take out that old charger that went to a computer long gone and stick it online. All those old clothes that you either have outgrown, or just don’t like, are worth money in the bank. If you get an account going, and know how to sell, you can make enough to pay for the cleaning that you don’t want to do. You have two options, you can let those things sit or you can sell them to pay for a few hours to let someone else do what you hate.
Apps on your cell phone
There are apps that you can get on your smart phone like Gigwalk. They are a great way to pick up a dollar or two. All you have to do is go and take some pictures on your phone and upload them to the site. Yep, that is right, simply look through all the places nearby and make your rounds. You will be surprised that just by going the way you do everyday you can make enough to have your home cleaned spotless.
Trade for services
If you hate cleaning but don’t mind babysitting or doing something else, trade your time. An hour of your time is worth the same as a cleaning person’s hour. If you are alright bartering your time you may get stuff done around the house and not mind the chores that you are substituting. Sometimes things just aren’t for you.
